about us burgis...
- Daniel Burgi, 43, married to Karina for 22 years. 2 great kids: Andi (10), Steffi (8).

from 1995 to the end of 2005 - with a few breaks in between - karina and i (daniel) have lived and worked among the nepalese people. initially, i did some engineering work in the field of small scale hydro electric plants for village electrification. karina -together with a nepalese lady started a school for underprivileged children in the slum area close to our home.
right from the beginning, we were actively involved with the nepalese christian community. with time, we moved more and more into the area of community development - particularly in the local christian community in pokhara. together with wonderful local leaders, we had the privilege of founding and developing indreni ministry including the indreni youth center. indreni ministry offers holistic programs for kids of all social levels, with a special focus on the marginalized.
we are also co-founders of the Himalayan Outreach Mission - an indigenous mission working among the Tibetan tribes in the himalayan valleys.

Love you as much as always, tell Steffi I love her (if she remembers me) and "hey, Andi-Babu, aidja!" (he's still scared of me, poor guy) tee hee. Karin - Daniel's not kidding, you look gorgeous. And you guys - you should see me, the last 6 weeks God has been doing so much to set me free and I'm just little Miss Joyful all the time, with prayers being answered constantly!! I can't wait to get back to Geneva in 2 months.
